Turn the AI off for one conversation
Pause or take over a single conversation without changing anything for the rest.
Pause and take over
Open the conversation in the inbox. Pause stops the AI from replying and leaves everything else as it was. Take over does the same and marks the conversation as yours, which is what you want when you are the one writing. Both are reversible: Resume or Hand back puts the AI back in.
What it does not affect
Pausing one conversation changes nothing for any other buyer. If you want the AI off everywhere at once, use Pause all in the inbox header instead.
Opt-outs are different
If a buyer asks not to be contacted, the conversation moves to opted out and the AI never replies there again whatever the mode says. That state is deliberate and cannot be undone from the app.
